used at times as a measure in relation to other areas or
items. Like bigger then Rhode Island or three times the
size of Rhode Island etc. The state is 37 miles wide and
48 miles long. It covers an area of 1,214 square miles and
a shoreline of 384 miles. The official nickname is "The Ocean
State" it is also know by other nicknames including
"The Biggest Little State in the Union" and
"Little Rhody". |
